Assembly/Wire Cutting Technician | Laporte, IN
Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Starting Pay: $15.50/hr
Shift(s): 1 st shift – Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Requirements & Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, and understand fractions.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints or assembly instructions.
· Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts.
· Computer proficiency for data entry and record-keeping.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
· Physical stamina to stand for long periods during shifts.
· Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
Primary Duties Include:
· Perform assembly tasks and wire cutting based on provided specifications and drawings.
· Accurately measure and cut wires using appropriate tools (e.g., wire cutters, tape measures).
· Perform basic addition and subtraction calculations to ensure proper measurements and cuts.
· Use fractions effectively to make precise cuts and measurements.
· Maintain detailed records of completed tasks and production data using computer systems.
· Operate machines and tools safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
· Inspect parts for quality assurance and ensure all products meet company standards.
· Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
· Stand and remain active for the duration of the shift.
· Ensure workspace cleanliness and organization to facilitate smooth operations.
