**Position: Onsite Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor - Long Beach and Huntington Beach, CA**

**About the Role:**

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for an Onsite EAP Counselor to provide essential counseling services, management consultations, program promotion, critical incident response, and training to employees. This role also involves case management for mandatory Drug Free Workplace referrals and conducting expatriate readiness interviews. You will have the chance to consult with HR, program managers, and supervisors on workplace and organizational matters. This position reports to the Clinical Manager.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide on-site support at two customer locations in Long Beach and Huntington Beach, CA.
- Offer assistance to managers, people teams, and employees during regular business hours, with one remote day available per week (subject to customer approval).
- Consult with leadership to enhance employee well-being and workplace effectiveness.
- Conduct assessments to determine Service Agreements and Recovery Plans for referred employees.
- Monitor employee engagement in the mandatory Drug Free Workplace referral process.
- Deliver critical incident response services.
- Facilitate training sessions and promote Spring Health benefits.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer benefit ecosystem and available support programs.
- Provide solution-focused mental health counseling, consultation, and connect employees to appropriate resources.
- Complete required internal training and participate in Clinical Team meetings.
- Adhere to all policies while maintaining confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Assess risk and manage crises by providing immediate support, triage, safety planning, and follow-up.
- Identify and address issues that may disrupt care, with support from leadership.
- Maintain accurate documentation that meets risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of this role.

**What We're Looking For:**

- LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience (independent licensure required).
- EAP experience is essential; SAP qualification and CEAP certification are preferred.
- Supervisory experience and familiarity with management and HR professionals are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with substance use disorders (SUD) and working with diverse populations (bilingual preferred).
- Knowledge of healthcare settings and community resources.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with adopting new technologies and platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in delivering management consultation, critical incident response, and EAP presentations.
- Training in evidence-based modalities of care, including short-term, solution-focused therapy.
- Comfort with safety planning and intervention in high-risk situations.
- Commitment to high-quality documentation of service delivery in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently while valuing team support and collaboration with other providers and clinical care navigators.

**Compensation:**

The target salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000, along with a competitive total rewards package that includes stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary based on experience, location, internal equity, and other relevant factors. We conduct annual reviews of employee compensation to ensure fairness and competitiveness.
