Dental CAD Designer | Orange County, CA
Full-Time. Up to $45/hr. + $2000 Sign-on/Relo Bonus!

Overview:
A leading dental laboratory in Orange County is seeking an experienced Dental CAD Designer with a strong background in implant, crown, and bridge design. This role requires advanced skills in 3Shape or Exocad software and offers the opportunity to work in a digitally driven lab environment focused on high-quality restorative outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Design crowns, bridges, full and partial dentures, and implant-supported prosthetics.
• Use 3Shape, Exocad, or similar CAD software to execute digital design workflows.
• Interpret dental prescriptions, digital scans, STL files, and lab slips.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clinicians to ensure case accuracy and aesthetics.
• Prepare CAD files for production and ensure all designs are fabrication-ready.
• Perform internal quality control checks for anatomical fit, occlusion, and esthetic precision.
• Troubleshoot design issues and assist with production team resolutions.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation in lab management systems.
• Stay up to date with CAD/CAM technologies, dental materials, and design protocols.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in 3Shape, Exocad, or equivalent dental CAD software.
• Strong understanding of dental anatomy and restorative workflows.
• Familiarity with restorative materials such as zirconia, PMMA, and metal alloys.
• Ability to manage and interpret digital dental files (e.g., STL, PLY).
• Strong attention to detail and aesthetic judgment.
• Effective communication and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven dental lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of dental lab experience (digital or traditional design).
• CDT certification or formal training in dental lab technology.
• Experience with implant design workflows or guided surgery protocols.
• Background in high-volume or specialty dental labs.

Compensation and Incentives:

• Hourly rate of $25 to $45 depending on experience.
• Sign-on bonus of $1,000 to $2,000 for qualified candidates.
• Relocation support may be considered for highly qualified applicants.
