Our client, a prestigious hospital, is seeking a Director of Case Management. This role is pivotal in overseeing the Case Management unit, which encompasses clinical resource management, discharge planning, patient advocacy, clinical social work, and medical necessity assessments. The Director is responsible for implementing and achieving the outcomes specified in the initial Utilization Review Plan, focusing on resource utilization, appropriateness of care, and adherence to the designated Geometric Length of Stay (GLOS) for each patient.
Essential Functions:
● Develop and implement department goals, plans, and standards, ensuring alignment with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.
● Oversee department operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management to meet performance and quality control objectives.
● Manage staffing activities such as hiring, training, evaluating, and conducting disciplinary actions, while fostering continuous education.
● Manage departmental budgets, ensure compliance with allocated funding, and oversee internal/external audits.
● Promote a professional growth environment and integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
● Provide direction and management for planning, organizing, and directing activities, as well as performance improvement in clinical services delivery and necessary reporting within the hospital and to government and regulatory bodies.
Minimum Education and Certifications:
● Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
● Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
● Current RN license to practice in NC.
Experience:
● At least 3 years of management experience.
