We need your talent, motivation, and vision as an Entry Level Software Engineer to join our Long Island team. We are actively seeking Software Engineers with a college degree, a range of skills, and a passion for learning new things who can apply her/his skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms. BAE Systems in Greenlawn, NY has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other scientific degree with strong software content.
• Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working, maintainable software.
• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred:

• Demonstrated proficiency in a high level software language such as Java, C++, C, or Python
• Coursework or other experience in embedded software development.
• Working knowledge of software tools such as Jira, BitBucket, debuggers, containers, etc.
• Experience with Agile Development and DevSecOps
• Experience developing on Windows/Linux Operating Systems
• Familiarity with Unit Testing frameworks
• Active Secret Clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $69439 - $118047

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
