POSITION SUMMARY:The Intern position provides students with a transition opportunity from the classroom to the field of Parks and Recreation. This position will assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of youth sport leagues and tournaments during the summer. This is a part-time seasonal position, and the hours will fluctuate depending on program activity schedules. MINIMUM REQUIRED MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING Undergraduates who have completed at least 60 credit hours or are in their junior or senior year, pursuing a degree in Parks and Recreation, Athletic Administration, or a closely related field are required. MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age. Must enjoy working with kids and be capable of working indoors and outdoors. Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. Must be responsible, dependable, energetic and friendly, possess good interpersonal skills. Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson, especially those relating to safety and health of minors. Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting hourly wage is $14.00 per hour.
