Mechanical Drafter

Cambridge, MA

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

This is a 5 Month Contract - NO C2C.

Hybrid - This position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office 3 days a week and an option to work from home two day out of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities ("Do")

- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality team to capture design outputs for a novel medical device

- Develop and manage documentation including CAD models, fabrication drawing, procedures, BOMs, and specifications

Results Expected ("Deliver")

- Build and manage an accurate 3D CAD model of a novel and complex medical device.

- Generate and manage fabrication drawings for all elements of the medical device.

- Generate and manage specification documents.

- Generate and manage BOMs

- Manage all documents accurately in a QMS

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):

1. Do you have 5 years or greater experience drafting machined, casted, sheet metal, and/or plastic molded components.

2. Do you have expertise in utilizing SolidWorks for modeling complex 3D systems and drafting components.

3. Do you have strong understanding of GD&T as per ASME Y14.5

4. Do you have experience in generating and managing BOM structures, ECRs and documentation through a QMS

5. Do you have experience with mechanical design for medical devices "- Nice to Haves"

6. Do you have experience with cable drawings "- Nice to Haves"

7. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
