Job Title: Medication Technician

Location: Legacy Oaks of Sacramento Assisted Living and Memory Care, Sacramento, CA

Position Summary:

Legacy Oaks of Sacramento is looking for a compassionate Medication Technician to ensure the safe delivery of medications and provide high-quality care to our residents. This role includes medication management, assisting with daily activities, and supervising caregiving staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and document medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, vital signs, wound care, and communication with healthcare providers.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and a comfortable environment for residents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident care and report any changes in health status.
  • Supervise and support caregiving staff during shifts.
  • Order, store, and assist with medications as per facility policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with caregiving preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Tuberculosis (TB) certificate, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Clear criminal background check and fingerprint clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Potential exposure to blood/bodily fluids.
