BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a Principal Wireless Eng II - Mobile Core you will be responsible for engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications and signal processing of 5G Core Network hardware, software and electrical systems. Works closely with technical operations staff on system design and configuration. Recognized as the technical and design expert. Leads design teams and advises team leaders.

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Implement data services, data structure/models and data movement infrastructures.
• Assigned complex and critical projects that involve several technical systems and constituents.
• Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
• Assist leadership with project intake, roadmap, staffing plans, and budget.
• Provides a high level of Engineering Technical support and guidance to regional personnel and ensure all technical integration, changes, standards and documentation are met.
• Work with the technical and leadership team to ensure that all individual projects are appropriately supported and fully completed on time.
• Ensure proper software development life cycle is leveraged for all projects.
• Motivate resources through communication and awareness of project needs and business impacts.
• Develop effective partnerships with corporate functional groups (Software Engineering, Operations, Care, IT, Product, etc.).
• Oversee design, deployment, and lifecycle management of 5G Standalone Core Network functions (NRF, BSF, PCF, SEPP, SCP).
• Align 5G Core Network vendor product roadmaps with business requirements and maintain the network deployment document repository.
• Review and certify deployment and upgrade MoPs, collaborating with IP Engineering, and RAN teams for lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot production issues with NOC and vendors, support device and chipset roadmap testing, and ensure 5G roaming readiness.
• Work with IT/OSS/BSS and Charging teams to define PCF rules/policies, and engage vendors to debug complex network issues.
• Establish and enhance KPIs with performance engineering teams and provide input for network automation and proactive monitoring.

• Demonstrated in-depth skills with SQL
• Demonstrated in-depth understanding of design and implementation practices in Tableau desktop and server
• Knowledgeable of Agile development methodologies
• Demonstrated in-depth understanding of advanced analytics processes and reporting design principles
• Ability to manage complex and diverse projects
• Effective business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve business results
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of an organization to aid in decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to manage development within a variety of technology stacks
• Demonstrated knowledge of development strategies, project management and business and technical consultancy
• Ability to adapt, learn and continue to expand in Cable and IP product and system knowledge
• Previous success in management of peer groups, to achieve team objectives
• Demonstrated in-depth understanding of problem resolution techniques, ability to find solutions
• Effective presentation tool skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written, for internal and external customers a must
• Ability to balance conflicting resource demands and internal pressures with focus towards our business priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and electronically
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Ability to develop, communicate and implement strategies and tactics
• Ability to manage and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

• Telecommunication industry leadership experience - 6+
• Experience in a customer facing products/services environment - 5+
• Experience working within a data platform/data analysis environment - 5+
• Managing complex projects - 3-5
• Experience leading teams of data analysts and data scientists

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the CPE Wireless Gateway and Router designs and roadmap plans for all major Operators in the U.S.
• Operational experience with 5G and 4G-LTE
• Must have a deep knowledge in wireless access technologies including WiFi, 4G-LTE and familiar with 5G and a clear track record of excellence managing the wireless access engineering systems within an organization of a well-known media brand.
• Demonstrated project management experience.

• Relevant Master’s degree

The base pay for this position generally is between $124,000.00 and $220,000.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
