ASM Affiliates (ASM) has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Accountant. We are seeking a candidate based in Southern California to work remote with option of hybrid in our Corporate office located in Carlsbad, California. This role will perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses. Responsible for preparation and verification of financial records and transactions. Ensure overall fiscal policies, practices and/or regulations meet compliance requirements while providing a full range of financial and strategic support to ensure optimal operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our dedicated team of professionals and work in a collegial and positive environment.

ASM is a 100% employee-owned company with nearly 50 years of experience as a cultural resource management (CRM) consulting firm. We specialize in architectural history, history, archaeology and environmental regulatory compliance services for federal, state, and local agencies and private proponents throughout Hawaii, California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington.

In this role, you will be expected to perform efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment. You will also be expected to work with minimal supervision under the direction of the Accounting Manager and to collaborate with other accountants on the team.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business-related field

· 5 to 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance (AR, AP, GL and contract documents)

· Experience that informs a complete understanding of the US GAAP principles, practices, and systems of successful corporate accounting

· A track record of maintaining confidentiality in positions that required such judgment.

· Well-developed organization and time management skills

· Strong focus on detail-orientation and follow-through

· Adept at multi-tasking, planning, and executing on plan successfully

· Resourceful problem-solving with experience in organizing others

· High proficiency in MS Teams, Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Working knowledge of or ability to learn Deltek Vision software

· General knowledge (or greater) of full cycle accounting

· Team player

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 per year. ASM reserves the right to pay outside of the salary range based on candidate’s education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.
