Senior Accountant Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented senior accountant to join our growing organization. In this position, you will interact with accounting and operations personnel to verify, financial records and transactions. You will report directly to the Controller.  You must have keen attention to detail and maintain account balances

Senior Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities and Duties

• Verifying allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Independently complete month end reconciliations, including but not limited to: Cash, AR, AP, Prepaids, Accrued Expenses, Payroll Liabilities, Sales Tax Liabilities and Intercompany.
• Producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results
• Assist in payroll calculation and bookkeeping
• Tag and monitor fixed assets; participate in the annual inventory process
• Record financial information for analysis
• Assist in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers and executives
• Forecast and plan for future needs
• Assist with Audits and Taxes
• Maintain account balances and bank statements
• Assist month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes
• Liaise with the accounting team to improve financial procedures

Senior Accountant Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent job experience
• Previous experience as an accountant or accounting supervisor
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills; Knowledge of and experience with MS Microsoft Office Suite, Google, computerized accounting software, Accumatica highly desirable.
• Advanced MS Excel accounting skills, including Vlookups and Pivot Tables
