Job Description

General Experience Expectations:

A minimum of seven (7) years of IT work experience, including four (4) or more years managing projects. Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.

Required Qualifications:

The Department is seeking full-time, on-site Senior Project Managers

A bachelor’s degree or master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Alternatively, equivalent work experience can be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis, when applicable.

The Department requires the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:

1. Possess a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®);
2. Five (5) or more years managing successful, large-scale projects with multiple diverse teams;
3. Five (5) or more years of experience in change management methodologies, strategies, and implementation;
4. Five (5) or more years utilizing project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira) to track and maintain projects;
5. Five (5) or more years of experience with project management methodologies and documentation (PMO);
6. Five (5) or more years of experience in risk and issue management;
7. Five (5) or more years of experience facilitating meetings and developing clear documentation;
8. Experience in creating and presenting status reports to internal and external stakeholders;
9. Ability to manage and coordinate project teams, lead complex projects, and meet objectives;
10. Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills;
11. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to engage stakeholders at all levels; and
12. Proficiency with ServiceNow and DocuSign is preferred.

The Department prefers the Candidate to have the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:

1. Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci) is highly preferred;
2. Certification in Agile or Scrum-based Project Management;
3. IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management Foundations certification;
4. Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base;
5. Experience managing state government projects and knowledge of Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C;
6. Experience managing vendor projects and working with technical programming teams;
7. Ability to take initiative to solve complex problems;
8. Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice environment;
9. Skills in negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and team building; and
10. Team player attitude with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
