Responsibilities Include:
1) Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of network administration duties:
Maintains, designs, and develops network infrastructure
Documents, troubleshoots, and resolves network issues promptly
Configures, installs, and services network hardware including routers and switches
Monitors network performance and troubleshoots problems and outages
Maintain monitoring and address management systems
Manages access to network resources using the principle of least privilege
Works with the Service Desk team to research and troubleshoot reported issues or incidents
Adheres to the organization's security posture and change management processes
Creates and maintains operating procedures/documentation for all critical network systems
Promptly remediates issues identified during security audits or risk assessments
Conduct monthly reviews of logs and alerts, providing prompt issue remediation
Ensures that effective security measures are in place to harden and protect network resources
Researches, evaluates, and recommends new solutions to improve operations
Contributes to peer review sessions and network design discussions
Participates in on-call rotation
2) Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective business relations with end users, managed service partners, and outside vendors:
Maintain supportive relationships with all and ensure needs are met
Preserve professional relationships with partner and vendor engagements
3) Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with technology team and management:
Reports network malfunctions and operating problems that cannot be corrected by routine procedures
Attends meetings as required
4) Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned:
Completes assigned tasks and special projects as assigned
Preserves confidentiality
Position operates outside normal business hours (i.e. M-F 8A-5P EST) – on-call support after hours and on the weekends is required
Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met for on-call support

Network administrative functions are performed effectively and in accordance with established policies and procedures
Professional business relations exist with end users, managed service partners, and outside vendors
Assigned tasks and project deadlines are met
Management is notified of network/technical activities and significant problems
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology related studies
Certification: Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Juniper JNCIA certification required
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Network operations and familiarity with related technologies (i.e. network security, telephony, wireless, etc.)
Experience Required:
Minimum of (5-8) years of experience with installation, maintenance, administration, troubleshooting of secure enterprise networks; enforcing complex network security measures such as access control lists, next-generation firewalls, and routing controls
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
Customer service, problem solving, and basic project management skills
Familiarity with virtual and cloud environments
Experience with LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies
Equivalent technical certifications required for this role
Fundamental understanding of the OSI model
