Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Student Services Coordinator to support and engage with students in both on-site and remote settings. As a key member of our team, you will act as a liaison between program activities and students, helping to ensure smooth communication, efficient operations, and an excellent student experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently and in collaboration with others, and passionate about serving underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in recruiting students and orienting them to the program, ensuring they understand the opportunities available.
Prepare and administer CASAS appraisals, pre-tests, and post-tests in a timely manner.
Maintain regular communication with the administrative office to ensure all CASAS paperwork is submitted on time.
Provide both on-site and remote support to students, assisting with technical issues and ensuring their success.
Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and providing information.
Represent and promote the various programs within the target community and region, increasing awareness and engagement.
Serve as a community resource, sharing information about program-related activities and opportunities.
Monitor student recruitment, retention, and attendance, identifying areas for improvement.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to your supervisor.
Manage and maintain organized physical and electronic student files, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
Foster productive relationships with external community organizations to enhance program outreach.
Assist with the purchase and distribution of materials and supplies needed for program activities.
Ensure smooth enrollment and registration processes for students entering various programs.
Collaborate with site staff to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Comply with county health department regulations for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
Work closely with instructors and teachers to ensure a positive student experience.
Handle general clerical duties, office upkeep, and site operations to support efficient program functioning.
Track and manage inventory of meals and technological devices, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste.
Ensure timely submission of student enrollments, transcripts, and other requests to the relevant departments.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's degree or some college experience preferred.
At least two years of relevant experience preferred.

Travel Requirements:

Valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance required.
Ability to travel as needed, up to 40%.

Language Skills:

Bilingual in Spanish required.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to use hands for typing, handling materials, and communicating.
Frequently required to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Must frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities, including close vision, required.
Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
