Job Description:
We are partnered with a fast-growing managing general agent specializing in providing innovative insurance solutions. Their mission is to deliver superior customer experiences through cutting-edge technology and product development. We are assisting them in filling the position of Vice President of Commercial Auto Program Underwriting to lead and optimize their commercial auto insurance portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the product roadmap for commercial auto insurance.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth and product enhancement.
• Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries and data analysts to design competitive, compliant and profitable products.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (underwriting, claims, marketing, IT and compliance) to ensure seamless product implementation and ongoing management.
• Oversee pricing, risk selection and underwriting guidelines in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead product launches, including creating marketing materials and providing training for sales teams.
• Gather feedback from brokers, agents and customers to continuously improve the product suite.
• Ensure digital tools and platforms support customer engagement and ease of doing business.
• Track key performance indicators, including loss ratios, retention rates and premium growth.
• Make data-driven recommendations to improve product profitability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial underwriting management experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on commercial auto insurance
• Proven track record of developing and launching successful insurance products
• Deep understanding of underwriting principles, pricing strategies and regulatory requirements in commercial auto insurance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or a related field
• MBA or CPCU designation (preferred)

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $180K - $200K annually.

The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
