Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: Long Island City, NY 11102
Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM, Tuesday - Saturday (40 hours per week)
Duration: 3+ Months
Compensation: $1,500 - $2,000 per week
Basic Duties & Responsibilities:Operate or oversee radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.
Prepare patients for radiological procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Establish rapport with patients to understand service requirements and reduce anxiety.
Explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure patient cooperation.
Position patients properly and adjust equipment to achieve optimal imaging results.
Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ensure high-quality radiographs by following imaging standards, processing images, and making necessary adjustments.
Document patient care services in records and verify completed exams.
Maintain radiology equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and requesting repairs.
Monitor and manage radiology supply inventory.
Stay updated with industry standards by completing required CME, attending workshops, and participating in professional networks.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
